Una visione artistica ha una sua architettura e, già dal suo nome — da un'idea singolare — può raccontare molto di essa. Ogni sua parte ha un peso, ogni scelta una funzione ed un effetto prevedibile. LOA è stato scelto come architettura.

Tre lettere che leggiamo anche come acronimo — Liminal Open Atmosphere — e che attraversano quattro tradizioni linguistiche lontane tra loro. Nessuna delle quattro è una coincidenza. Ciascuna descrive una funzione precisa di ciò che questa agenzia fa.

I. Hawaiano

Nella lingua hawaiana, loa significa vasto, distante, esteso. È la parola che misura ciò che sta lontano — e insieme la capacità di raggiungerlo. Per noi descrive la portata del lavoro: la distanza che separa un'idea nata in studio dal pubblico che non l'ha ancora incontrata. Ogni produzione è un attraversamento di quella distanza. Il mestiere sta nel non perdere nulla per strada.

II. Vodou haitiano

Nel Vodou haitiano, i loa sono gli intermediari sacri tra il creatore e l'umanità. Non sono il creatore: sono il tramite. E ciascuno di loro possiede un ritmo proprio, un tamburo che lo chiama e lo distingue da tutti gli altri. È la definizione più esatta del nostro ruolo che abbiamo trovato: un'agenzia non crea al posto dell'artista — media tra la sua visione e il mondo. E riconosce a ogni progetto il suo ritmo specifico, senza imporne uno uguale per tutti.

III. Iberico

Nel teatro spagnolo del Siglo de Oro, la loa era il prologo celebrativo: il componimento breve che apriva lo spettacolo, preparava il pubblico, dichiarava il tono di ciò che stava per accadere. Ogni progetto merita la sua loa — il modo in cui viene presentato al mercato, l'apertura che ne determina l'ascolto. È il lavoro che facciamo prima che il lavoro si veda.

IV. Sanscrito

In sanscrito, loka indica un piano dimensionale: un mondo tra i mondi, distinto ma non separato. È la logica della nostra struttura. Le label, il progetto editoriale, il management: piani diversi, ciascuno con regole proprie, sotto la stessa atmosfera. Non una piramide — una cosmologia.

I. Hawaiian

II. Haitian Vodou

In Haitian Vodou, the loa are the sacred intermediaries between the creator and humanity. They are not the creator: they are the passage. And each of them possesses a rhythm of its own — a drum that calls it and sets it apart from all others. It is the most exact definition of our role we have found: an agency does not create in the artist's place — it mediates between their vision and the world. And it grants every project its own specific rhythm, imposing no single beat on all.

III. Iberian

In the Spanish theatre of the Siglo de Oro, the loa was the celebratory prologue: the short piece that opened the performance, prepared the audience, declared the tone of what was about to happen. Every project deserves its loa — the way it is introduced to the market, the opening that determines how it will be heard. It is the work we do before the work is seen.

IV. Sanskrit

In Sanskrit, loka names a dimensional plane: a world among worlds, distinct yet not separate. It is the logic of our structure. The labels, the editorial project, the management: different planes, each with rules of its own, under the same atmosphere. Not a pyramid — a cosmology.
